As part of the program, students can choose one of two specialties: TV journalist or TV presenter. Students receive theoretical knowledge on the methods of television journalism, media economics, the basics of directing, etc. and are trained in the practice of television production, defend their thesis (production of finished broadcast products) on the basis of the multimedia television and radio center of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University and various television channels.
The professional retraining program “School of Modern Television and Video Blogging” was opened at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University named after M. IN. Lomonosov in 2005 and very quickly gained popularity among applicants. Students of the “School of Modern Television and Video Blogging” not only receive theoretical knowledge on television methods journalism, media economics, the basics of directing and other specialties from teachers of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, but also study practice of television production, defend their theses on the basis of the multimedia television and radio center of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University and various TV channels.
The program offers training in two specialties: “television journalist” and “video blogger”. The program is aimed both at those who are working or starting to work in these areas of activity, and provides expansion of professional opportunities for listeners and for people seeking to connect their lives with television. The training program is structured in such a way as to obtain all the necessary knowledge in the specialty and practical skills in 8 months of training and start working in a new field.
In accordance with the status of the fundamental university program of additional education PPP “School of Television and video blogging" offers students both extensive basic theoretical knowledge and relevant practical information. The program includes training - classes at the educational multimedia television and radio center of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, as well as internship on the leading television channels of Russia (Channel One, Rossiya 1, NTV, REN TV, RBC, Moscow-24 and others). This approach ensures that students learn new specialties as efficiently as possible.
Classes are taught by professors, associate professors and teachers of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, as well as invited specialists.
Skills being developed: television production and directing skills, the basics of presenter skills and working in the frame, competently delivered speech, understanding of the specifics and fundamentals television journalism, the ability to write scripts, the ability to film and provide finished broadcast products, knowledge of how television works and his audience.
Purpose of the program
Acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work both at federal and on regional television channels in news and analytical programs as a presenter or journalist.
Form and duration of training
Duration of classes is 8 months (from October 1 to May 31).
Class schedule: evening (4-5 times a week, 4 academic hours, from 18:30 to 21:40).
The program is designed for two semesters (October-December; February-May).
Knowledge control and final certification
Each of the courses included in the curriculum ends at the end of the semester with a final assessment of knowledge (test or exam).
At the end of the training, students must prepare a creative graduation project.
Upon completion of the program, a state diploma is issued for professional retraining in one of the specialties chosen by the student: television presenter, television journalist.
