Margot Robbie said what she thinks about the continuation of “Barbie”

Margot Robbie, who played the role of Barbie in hit movie Greta Gerwig and the producer of the project, gave new interview with Associated Press. When asked about a possible sequel, she replied:

Previously similar thoughts expressed and Greta Gerwig: she noted that she gave everything she could to the project and is now completely devastated.

In the same interview, Robbie said that it was important for them to show that original films were still capable of generating huge box office results. It is not necessary to make sequels, prequels and remakes. Original ideas can be trusted with big budgets, and a female lead doesn't mean the film can't attract a large audience. They wanted Barbie to succeed so that in the future, directors with big ideas could be trusted with big budgets to make them happen.
