Bill Gates said that AI will allow people to switch to a three-day work week

The development of artificial intelligence will allow humanity to reduce the working week to three days. About this in an interview for the podcast “What Now?” stated Bill Gates.
In his opinion, a gradual transition, supported by adequate government measures, could lead to a society requiring less manual labor. “If you end up with a society where you only have to work three days a week, that's probably fine,” Gates said.
The 68-year-old entrepreneur envisions a future in which AI can facilitate more balanced work-life dynamics. He believes society can manage the risks associated with AI.
The future of AI is not as bleak as some people think, and not as rosy as others think. The risks are real, but I am optimistic that they can be managed... Technology may advance rapidly, but it will not replace people, but rather “change them forever.”

Throughout the 45-minute conversation, Gates emphasized the potential of AI, imagining a world in which machines solve tasks such as food production. He also expressed enthusiasm for machines' ability to improve productivity in other sectors, including programming, testing and healthcare.
Earlier in an interview, Bill Gates said:
“I don't think the impact of artificial intelligence will be as dramatic as the Industrial Revolution, but it will definitely be as significant as the advent of the PC. Word processing apps didn't end office work, but they changed it forever."
