Apples with caramel in puff pastry: recipe

Combine cinnamon and sugar. Peel and core the apples so as not to damage the bottoms.
Dust the table with flour and roll out the puff pastry. Cut it into long narrow strips. Cut eight leaves from part of the dough.
Roll the apples in half the cinnamon sugar and fill them with caramel. Wrap each strip of dough, secure the edges and decorate the top with leaves.
Place the preparations on a baking sheet lined with parchment and put them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200°C. Beat the egg with water.
Brush the dough with egg. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar. Bake the apples for 25 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180°C and cook for another 10–15 minutes.
