Lesson №1. Before you create something, force yourself to look for similar projects or ideas of what are you going to work. Remove all the most useful from the experience of others.
Lesson №2. Make their plans in such a creative environment that is radically different from the one in which you as a result will implement their plans. Draw a document that you create. Write prose about your future designs.
Lesson №3. Test what you're working on, in real life situations (with real data or elements, etc.). Real users will not use your stuff neatly and correctly - they beat them and misused. Your testing should be done the same thing.
Lesson №4. When you create something, on the one hand, you have to consider these things in extreme close-in to see all the details. And just as you have to look at them from a distance, to see how they look from afar as a whole. Then you can see quite a different picture and features.
Lesson №5. What you are working on for a long time something does not mean that you can not leave it, if the idea was wrong. You'll spend a lot more time to fix or give a more pleasant appearance that was initially clearly misses the target.
