They will be pre-installed in new versions of the system.
Microsoft has launched Phone Link and Link to Windows apps to sync smartphones with Windows computers. For everything to work, you just need to install Phone Link on your computer, and Link to Windows on your smartphone. Until now, this combination only worked with Samsung, Honor and Microsoft Surface Duo smartphones (plus, suddenly, iPhone), but the list of compatible devices will soon expand.
Representatives from Oppo and Microsoft at the Oppo Developers Conference announced, that a combination with Windows will soon appear on Android smartphones from Oppo, OnePlus and Realme. Specifically, the Link to Windows app will be pre-installed on smartphones running ColorOS 14 or OxygenOS 14 and later.
“Phone Connection” allows you to interact with applications and files on your smartphone from your computer via Wi-Fi. Once connected, you can launch apps, reply to messages, view photos, and connect to your smartphone's Wi-Fi hotspot without further confirmation.
It is not yet known at what point Link to Windows will appear on compatible smartphones: it is likely that it will appear after updating to ColorOS 14 or OxygenOS 14, or when purchasing a new smartphone with the latest firmware version preinstalled.
