The best games of the year have been named at the Golden Joystick Awards

In London announced winners of the Golden Joystick Awards 2023, which annually selects the best games.

The absolute winner this year was Baldur’s Gate 3. It won in seven categories at once: “Best Game of the Year”, “Game of the Year on PC”, “Best Story”, “Best Game Community", "Best Visual Design", "Studio of the Year" and "Best Supporting Performer" (Neil Newbon - Astarion).

These games won in other key categories:

• "PlayStation Game of the Year" - Resident Evil 4;
• "Game of the Year on Xbox" - Starfield;
• Critics' Choice - Alan Wake 2;
• “Best Add-on” – Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty;
• "Best Independent Game" - Sea of ​​Stars;
• "Most Anticipated Game" - Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth;
• "Studio of the Year" - Larian Studios;
• “Best Gaming Hardware” – PlayStation VR2;
• "Breakthrough of the Year" - Cocoon;
• "Best Sound" - Final Fantasy XVI;
• "Best VR Game" - Horizon Call of the Mountain.
