Nintendo and Sony Pictures will release a film based on The Legend of Zelda
Miscellaneous / / November 08, 2023
Nintendo is official announced about the development of a live-action film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. The project will be produced by series creator Shigeru Miyamoto and businessman Avi Arad, who has worked on many superhero films and film adaptation Uncharted.
The director will be Wes Ball (known for the “Maze Runner” trilogy, also directed the new “planet of the apes»). The project will be jointly financed by Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment, the latter will also be responsible for the film's worldwide release.
There are no details about the film yet: it is not even known which game in the series will be used as a basis and who will play the main roles. Release dates have also not been announced, but given that development is just beginning, the film will definitely not be released any time soon.
