At the same time, they revealed which other models should be updated.
October 30 Samsung launched updating smartphones to stable OneUI 6 based on Android 14. The first to receive the update were the owners of the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra, who participated in the beta test of the firmware: they switched from the test build to the stable release. Soon after this, users of One UI 5 on Android 13 also noticed the update offer.
If you update from beta, the update will weigh about 300 MB, but updating from Android 13 will require downloading about 3 GB of files. The update is rolling out gradually, so if it's not available to you yet, you'll have to wait a little longer.
So far, the latest One UI is offered only for the three flagships of 2023 - on the Galaxy S22 it is only available for now being tested. But published by Samsung article about the capabilities of the camera application in One UI 6 revealed which other smartphones are planned to be updated in the future. We are talking about the following models:
- Galaxy S23 line;
- Galaxy S22 line;
- Galaxy S21 line;
- Galaxy S20 line;
- Galaxy Note 20 line;
- Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5;
- Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4;
- Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3;
- Galaxy Z Fold 2;
- Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip (LTE and 5G);
- Galaxy A54;
- Galaxy A53.
In the description of the editor update Enhance-X It is stated that it will work on the above devices with One UI 6 and later.
Obviously, this is not a complete list of devices - it does not include any model from the Galaxy M and Galaxy F lines - these are just some of the models that Samsung plans to update. It's surprising that the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 lines are on the list, considering they came out in 2020 and have already received a guaranteed three Android updates. Edition SamMobile assumesthat this is a mistake, but Samsung representatives have not yet commented on this.
