At the same time, he is confident that in the future this series about wizards will return to screens.
A total of three films have been released - Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) and Dumbledore's Secrets (2022). The latest installment barely broke even, earning just $407 million at the worldwide box office. After this, many doubted that the studio would give the green light to a sequel. Now the worst fears of fans of the universe have become reality.
Rowling was the sole screenwriter for the first two films. Then Stephen Kloves joined her. Yates is considered a true veteran of the franchise. He directed all three parts of the prequel, as well as the last four episodes of Harry Potter.
