15 best nature photos according to the Capturing Ecology 2023 competition

British Environmental Society announced winners of Capturing Ecology, an annual photo competition dedicated to the nature of the Earth and the dangers that threaten it. In each category, the work of professionals and students was evaluated separately.

The bright red and blue plumage of the crimson rosella is similar to the coloring of the model airplane behind it.
Worth mentioning
Images that did not win in their categories, but were separately noted by the jury.
It looks like something out of Tim Burton, but it's actually just twisted twigs of the teasel plant.
Birch branches covered with frost, giving the forest a silvery color.
A guillemot chick jumps from a cliff - this is its first flight to the water.
This is natural food delivery.
The Australian golden bowerbird blends into the black background - only the orange and bright yellow eyes, beak and plumage spots stand out.
