The authoritative portal The Verge has updated its list of the best Android smartphones to buy in 2023. It traditionally included representatives of various price segments. There were five nominations in total.

As noted in The Verge, Pixel 8 has just a couple of key changes over the Pixel 7 and lacks some of the 8 Pro's more expensive features, like the telephoto lens. But the combination of price, features and seven years of OS updates make it the best mainstream Android smartphone you can buy right now.
