One of the largest machines in history: a powerful wind generator will be built in China

Imagine the Eiffel Tower, but rotating.
The offshore wind industry has achieved another important milestone: leading wind turbine manufacturer announced plans to create a giant turbine with a capacity of 22 megawatts with a rotor diameter of more than 310 meters. About it writes Bloomberg publication.
We are talking about the Chinese company Ming Yang Smart Energy Group Ltd., which has set its sights on creating one of the largest land-based machines in the history of mankind. Taking into account the span of the blades and the required headroom above the water, the new wind generator will be approximately 330 meters high. It's like the Eiffel Tower, only rotating.
The working area of the rotor, that is, the area of the circle it describes, will be about 75,477 square meters. This is more than 10 football fields or 60 Olympic swimming pools.
The race for size in this case is dictated not by records on the pages of the media, but by efficiency. Longer blades capture more wind and generate more power. Large turbines typically reduce costs for wind energy developers because fewer installations are required for the same output.
However, the construction of such giants is an incredibly complex process, which often comes down to logistical problems with the delivery of giant blades.
Install the first 300-meter turbine of Ming Yang Smart Energy Group Ltd. plans by 2024 or 2025. Previously the company launched generator with 123-meter blades.
