The PC has become more powerful and costs less than last year's version.
Xiaomi updated last year's computer Mini PC (aka Mini Host), releasing the 2023 version. The main improvement was the processor upgrade from Intel Core i5-1240P to Core i5-1340P (that is, from the 12th generation to the 13th). The manufacturer claims that single-core performance has increased by 10%, and multi-core performance by 11%.
The device retains its compact aluminum body, weighing about 440 grams: it still fits in the palm of your hand and looks more like a TV set-top box than a full-fledged computer.
The Mini PC 2023 comes with 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD (PCIe 4.0). There are slots for memory expansion and support for external video cards.
The case has three USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectors, a pair of Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1 (18 Gbps) plus USB 2.0, a 3.5 mm audio jack and Ethernet (2.5 Gbps).
Xiaomi Mini PC 2023 was priced at 3,499 yuan (≈47,400 rubles) with Windows 11 pre-installed, while the previous model with the system included cost 3,999 yuan at launch. The computer has already gone on sale in China, but there is no word yet on its availability outside the country.
