Xiaomi introduced a smart heated mattress cover with a mite-killing mode

Xiaomi presented a new gadget on the Youpin crowdfunding platform: a smart water-heated mattress pad Mijia Plumbing Blanket.

This is a thin blanket in which water tubes are hidden. They are heated by an external unit and distributes heat over the entire surface so that the owner can sleep warmly and comfortably all winter. The structure inside is layered: from bottom to top there is an anti-slip fabric based on plastic, a rubberized layer of insulation, water tubes, thick cotton and a cover made of fabric that is pleasant to the body. The tubes are plastic and detach from the unit, so the mattress pad can be washed like regular bedding.

In the Mi Home application, you can adjust the temperature of the mattress pad in the range from 25 to 55°C, also supports the creation of temperature graphs: for example, to make it cooler in the morning and make you feel better wake up. In addition, you can control the temperature directly from an external unit or by voice (but only through the Chinese XiaoAI assistant).

You can also turn on the anti-dust mite mode in the app: in it, the mattress cover heats up to 65°C for 2 hours. Of course, there should be no people on the bed at this time.

The water from the tubes will gradually evaporate; you can add new water directly into the external unit - like into a humidifier. This will need to be done every 2 months with regular use. The capacity of the tank depends on the size of the mattress pad: for a 1.8-meter model it is 900 ml, and for a 1.5-meter model it is 750 ml.

Xiaomi Mijia Plumbing Blanket is offered in two sizes: 1.5 × 2 meters and 1.8 × 2 meters. At the crowdfunding stage, which starts on October 18, they will cost 399 and 499 yuan, respectively (≈5,300 and 6,600 rubles); after the start of open sales, the price will increase. It has not yet been announced whether the new product will appear outside of China.
