Firefox is testing a feature to detect fake reviews

The tool quickly finds AI-generated comments to improve a product's rating.
Mozilla testing the Review Checker feature in your Firefox browser. It operates on the technology of the startup Fakespot, which the company acquired in May of this year.
The tool “uses a sophisticated system of artificial intelligence and machine learning to identify patterns and similarities between reviews.” Thanks to this, it identifies those that are most likely to be fake or created using AI to improve a product's rating.
A verification button will appear in your browser's address bar. When you click it, a sidebar will appear with detailed information about the product you are viewing, review reliability ratings, and highlights from the available reviews.
Fakespot's technology has long been available through the startup's website, Chrome and Safari extensions, and iOS and Android apps. Mozilla promises not to close these channels. In Firefox, it will become a native feature, which should be more convenient for users. However, the timing of its implementation in the browser has not yet been officially disclosed.
Some sources report that the tool should appear in Firefox 120 for PC and Android, which is scheduled for release on November 21, 2023. However, at first it will be available only in the USA.
