Stylish frames and 11 hours of battery life.
At a presentation in China Huawei showed Eyewear 2 is the second generation of its smart glasses, which received an even more sophisticated design and new frame options - titanium and gold-plated.
The titanium version has a lightweight β-titanium frame weighing just 4.7g, while the gold version features 18K gold plating and stylish thin bezels. To make Eyewear 2 more user-friendly, Huawei has reduced the width of the speaker arms by 20% compared to first version, resulting in a maximum width of 9.7mm and a rear width reduction of 28% to 8.3mm.
Like the first version, the new product can play music and calls without others hearing what you are playing. Huawei Eyewear 2 features the industry's first forward-facing dual diaphragm audio unit, which increases speaker amplitude by 40% and increases playback volume by 30%. The glasses are also equipped with a triple noise reduction system, providing clear sound when talking.
Improved temple sensors increase the touch control area to 23 mm, which is 50% larger than the previous model. The manufacturer notes that this reduces the risk of accidental touches.
The glasses support seamless connection to multiple devices at the same time. They support quick switching between multiple gadgets on HarmonyOS, but also work with Android, iOS and Windows.
As for autonomy, the new glasses offer 11 hours of listening to music or podcasts (83% more than the previous generation) or 9 hours of talk time. A full charge will take 50 minutes, and 10 minutes of recharging is enough for 3 hours of listening. The case is protected against dust and moisture IP54.
Huawei Eyeweari 2 offers standard frame options like the first generation (aviators, rimless and semi-rimless) priced at 1699 yuan (≈22,400 rubles), with 18K gold for 1899 yuan (≈25,000 rubles) and titanium for 2299 yuan (≈30,200 rubles). Sales in China will start on September 30, the release of a global version has not yet been announced.
