Tecno unveils Phantom V Flip, its first flip smartphone

Tecno is official presented Phantom V Flip flip smartphone. It differs from Samsung and Motorola devices in the round shape of the external screen. There are two cameras in a ring around it, so the switched off screen can easily be confused with a huge block of cameras a la Huawei Mate 60 Pro.

Both external and internal AMOLED displays. The main screen is a 6.9-inch LTPO with a 22:9 aspect ratio, FHD+ resolution, up to 120 Hz and 1000 nits peak brightness. The external screen is 1.32-inch, it is capable of displaying notifications, displaying widgets and working as a viewfinder when taking selfies.

The main camera (the one around the external display) consists of a 64 MP main module and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle one. Inside there is a 32 MP front camera.

The performance is ensured by the Mediatek Dimensity 8050 chipset, complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. You can add RAM using a virtual expansion: the smartphone can programmatically turn 8 GB of flash memory into additional RAM.

The smartphone is equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 45 W fast charging; a suitable adapter is included in the package. The manufacturer claims that with it the battery will be charged 50% in half an hour.

Out of the box, the new product runs on Android 13 with HiOS 13.5 shell. Tecno has added EllaGPT voice assistant to the smartphone - this is the company's answer to Siri, Google Assistant and Bixby.

Tecno Phantom V Flip will be available in black and purple colors at a price of 49,999 Indian rupees (≈57,900 rubles).
