Resident Evil Village and other games tested on iPhone 15 Pro Max

The results were surprising on all fronts: performance, heating and battery life.
One of the main features of the iPhone 15 Pro flagships is the new 3nm A17 Pro chip. It received a “breakthrough graphics processor” with hardware support for ray tracing for top games. How much of a gaming smartphone is this? checked Geek Culture editors.
iPhone 15 Pro Max was tested in truly difficult Honkai: Star Rail, Genshin Impact, PUBG: Mobile, as well as in Resident Evil Village - one of the top AAA action games for PC, which has been adapted for the new processor Apple.
The smartphone, of course, coped with all the games. There were some stutters in Genshin Impact, but this is most likely due to a lack of optimization for the new chipset. What was more surprising was that the smartphone remained relatively cold in such a stress test - the average heating did not exceed 10 degrees. And the battery discharge in 20 minutes in Resident Evil Village was only 5%.
At the presentation of the iPhone 15 line, Apple stated that with the new chipset, mobile gaming will change forever. By the end of 2023, the company also promises to release a remake of Resident Evil 4 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage on smartphones. And who knows, perhaps flagships on iOS will eventually become the best choice for fans of mobile gaming.
