The devices can be connected to a smart home so that while watching a movie, the system turns off the lights and draws the curtains.
Xiaomi released two new compact projectors - Redmi Projector 2 and Redmi Projector 2 Pro. The new products are very similar, but still have some key differences.
Rectangular-shaped devices have a minimalistic design. “Proshka” is a little larger and heavier, but also falls into the compact category.
The projectors display images with a resolution of 1080p with an aspect ratio of 1.2:1. From a distance of about 2.5 meters, an image with a diagonal of 100 inches is obtained.
Redmi Projector 2 has a brightness of 180 CVIA lumens, Redmi Projector 2 Pro has a brightness of 300 CVIA lumens. Both versions support automatic image focusing using AI, but the older model adds this technology with a gyroscope for quick correction.
The projectors have built-in dual speakers and support voice control. And through the Mijia APP application, they can be connected to a smart home system, then when a movie is turned on, the curtains in the room will close and the lights will turn off.
The heart of the new products is the Amlogic T950D4 processor, complemented by 1.5 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. There is also 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi on board. They work on MIUI TV.
Both models are already on sale in China. Projector Redmi Projector 2 costs 999 yuan (≈13,000 rubles), and Redmi Projector 2 Pro — 1299 yuan (≈17,000 rubles).
