A designer summer down jacket has been created - it cools the owner with the help of beer

The jacket is full of straws, but they are not for drinking.
Designer Izzy Du together with creative studio Whatever Co. and Singaporean beer producer Tiger Beer created the first summer down jacket powered by beer. A new product called Tiger Summer Puffer Jacket helps reduce the owner’s body temperature by 5°C with the help of a couple of cans of foam.
It works simply. The owner places two cold cans of beer in special pockets. The cans come into contact with water-filled tubes, which are distributed throughout the inside of the down jacket, and cool them. The tubes are distributed so that most of them are in places that fit more tightly to the skin. Due to this, even in hot weather, the user becomes cool even before sweat begins to appear.
The authors note that their technology is similar to that used in astronauts' spacesuits to avoid overheating. They experimented with materials and placement of tubes until they found the best option. They admitted that in one version the system turned out to be so effective that a person became too cold in a down jacket, and the cooling had to be worsened for the final version.
The Tiger Summer Puffer Jacket will be shown to the public for the first time at Paris Fashion Week, which will be held from September 25 to October 3. A possible commercial release has not yet been announced.
