Yandex has opened access to testing YandexGPT quick responses in Search
Miscellaneous / / September 14, 2023
The new option can list pros and cons, highlight differences and much more without going to websites.
Yandex began using the YandexGPT language model to create quick answers in Search. The neural network provides a brief overview of the user's request under the search bar.
It works like this: YandexGPT in real time finds several of the most relevant sources based on the user’s request, and then makes a short summary of the information from each of them, even if the text needed for the answer is in different parts of the page. After this, the neural network selects the most useful answer from the resulting options and displays it along with a link to the source. This is necessary so that users can get additional details on the topic of interest, and the sites can navigate to the site.
YandexGPT, for example, can list the pros and cons of buying apartments instead of an apartment, list differences between an alligator and a crocodile, suggest the most affectionate cat breed and answer many other difficult questions requests.
To get access to quick answers now, you need to submit an application in the Yandex with Alice application by clicking on the message inviting you to take part in the test. After logging in to Search using their Yandex ID, test participants will be able to see generative answers on any device. The result of the neural network’s work can be assessed by liking or disliking - this will help improve the quality of quick responses.
