A two-seater baby with a futuristic design in the spirit of the Cybertruck.
The author of a new biography of Elon Musk, Walter Isaacson showed Tesla robotaxi concept. Apparently, the billionaire has been developing it since 2014.
The book notes that it is a two-seater compact car inspired by futuristic Cybertruck - It has the same angular edges and stainless steel finish (which attracts fingerprints). But in appearance it looks more like a hatchback than an SUV.
However, this is nothing more than a cardboard dummy. It's unclear how early this project was, but the photo is in the section about Musk's life between 2014 and 2016.
According to the billionaire's plan, the robotaxi will not have pedals, a steering wheel or any other controls. He wants to create a fully autonomous car that will take care of the safety of passengers and even the environment. And not due to various sensors, but relying only on numerous cameras and the Tesla Dojo supercomputer.
The biographer also said that Tesla will produce new electric vehicles, including a budget model for $25,000 and a robotaxi, in Texas, rather than at a plant under construction in Mexico. The next two new products will receive a futuristic design similar to the Cybertruck.
When they appear around the corner, people will think they are seeing something from the future.

The release date of the unnamed new product is still unknown. But in April 2022 Musk shared plans to bring to market a car without a steering wheel or pedals by 2024. Do you think he will make it?
