At the bottom of the Pacific Ocean found a "golden egg", from which something "hatched"

Scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) found off the coast of southern Alaska, a strange object that looks like a golden egg. And there's a hole in it, like something's hatched out of it.
A shiny ball was discovered during the study of an extinct underwater volcano. It was at a depth of 3.1 kilometers.
From the bottom it was raised using remote-controlled equipment. The texture of the "golden egg" is more like silk, not iron, as it might initially seem. Another oddity was the hole in the ball. “Something was trying to get in... or out,” one of the researchers noted.
No details about the strange find are yet known. The sample is planned to be studied in the laboratory. But there are already assumptions. Some scientists do not rule out that this is an ancient shell. Among other versions, the researchers only came across the remains of a dead sea sponge.
