Huawei may start releasing laptops on HarmonyOS

The proprietary operating system should become an alternative to Windows.
Huawei has already migrated almost all of its devices to HarmonyOS, from smartphones to tabletsand ending with smart home gadgets and smart watches. The manufacturer does not plan to stop at this - the PC is next in line.
To minimize dependence on Microsoft, Huawei plans to start producing computers on its own operating system. About it informed former CEO Wang Chenglu, who noted that the PC version of HarmonyOS will be presented as early as next year.
It is not yet clear which build of the system we are talking about, because the open source version of HarmonyOS is actually already used on laptops. Access to it is provided by the OpenAtom Foundation, which has adapted the platform for the PC. There is no talk of an assembly ready for commercial use yet, but work on it has been going on for a long time.
It is possible that HarmonyOS for PC will remain the solution for Asian markets, while in Europe and other countries branded laptops will be released only with Windows. It is too early to talk about the complete replacement of one platform with another.
