They joked: the film "Barbenheimer" is really in production

On July 21, two very different films were released internationally: “Barbie» Greta Gerwig and «Oppenheimer» Christopher Nolan. Of course, this was not ignored: a meme appeared on the Web about "Barbenheimer”, a crossover of two universes. Visualization was not long in coming: the films started pretty quickly unite using neural networks.

The joke played into the hands of both films: "Barbie" is already became the highest-grossing film of the year, and Oppenheimer is now in third place in terms of box office for 2023 and already collected more than "Start".

By data portal JoBlo, soon "Barbenheimer" from a meme will turn into a real movie: a comedy with that name is already in development. The film is being produced by Full Moon Features, which produces category B films (The Puppet Master, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Dead Hate the Living). There is already a synopsis:

It is already known that Charles Band, the founder of Full Moon Features, is producing the project, the screenwriter and director are unknown, as are the leading actors. Filming is slated to begin as early as September and release by the end of December on Amazon Prime Video and Full Moon's own streaming service.
