The Last of Us showrunner talks about working on Pirates of the Caribbean 6

Showrunner of the series The Last of Us and HBO's Chernobyl Craig Mazin in an interview with the Los Angeles Times reminded about the upcoming sixth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. He noted that the script for the picture is "fantastic".
Craig Mazin is working on the film with Ted Elliot, the author of the first part, The Black Pearl, and the two subsequent films in the series. Together they pitched an idea to Disney that was "too weird".
We presented it to Disney and thought they would never buy it, it's too weird. But they did it! And then he [Ted Elliot] wrote a fantastic script, there was a strike, and everyone around is waiting.

According to preliminary data, the new film will be called Pirates of the Caribbean: A Day at Sea. It will be the sequel to the fifth installment, Dead Men Tell No Tales. Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites and Orlando Bloom may return to their roles. Johnny Depp back bye does not intend.
