Withings launches ScanWatch 2 with 24/7 thermometer and 30 days autonomy

Withings Company introduced hybrid smart watches ScanWatch 2 and ScanWatch Lite. They both look like traditional mechanical devices, but come with a long list of smart features.

The ScanWatch 2 model can monitor sleep quality and detect abnormalities in the cardiovascular system. Able to track skin temperature and blood oxygen levels, as well as count active and metabolic calories. By the end of 2023, the manufacturer promises to teach them how to record their breathing rate.

As for physical activity, the gadget supports more than 40 types of workouts and most of them are able to automatically recognize. Among the features can also be noted the maintenance of the women's calendar and support for Apple Health.

The device received an OLED display with a pixel density of 282 PPI. The screen only displays 16-bit grayscale. The latter was done in order to save energy, which fully justifies itself - the novelty can work on a single charge for up to 30 days. This is an ideal option for those who buy a smartwatch for training and health tracking, and not as an addition to a smartphone.

However, in some cases ScanWatch 2 may be useless without a phone. The watch still does not have a GPS module, so the distance traveled while running or cycling can only be recorded using it. But they are compatible with both Android and iOS.

The case is made of stainless steel and is water resistant up to 5 ATM.

Withings ScanWatch Lite is a simplified version of the previous model. She has no temperature and ECG sensors. Otherwise, they are almost identical.

Both devices will go on sale at the end of October, but are already available for pre-order on the company's website. ScanWatch 2 will be available in silver-black (42/38 mm), silver-white (38 mm) and sand (38 mm) at a price of $350 (≈34,000 rubles). The ScanWatch Lite model (37 mm) will cost $250 (≈24,000 rubles).
