In Russia, the requirements for preferential IT-mortgages have been relaxed

Wages will no longer be looked at.
The Russian government has softened the terms of preferential IT-mortgages. According to decree Mikhail Mishustin dated August 31, IT professionals under the age of 36 will be able to apply for a mortgage loan without taking into account the minimum wage requirements.
Previously, an employee of an IT company in Moscow had to earn at least 150,000 rubles a month, in million-plus cities - from 120,000, and in other cities - from 70,000. The salary qualification was valid at the place of work: for an employee of a Moscow company living in St. Petersburg, for mortgages had to be earned from 150 thousand - regardless of which city he planned to buy apartment.
The government believes that the elimination of minimum wage requirements will help even more workers in the industry to purchase housing on favorable terms. Recall that IT-mortgages provide a preferential rate of up to 5% per annum, subject to a down payment of 15% and a housing price of up to 18 million rubles in million-plus cities or 9 million in other cities.
