Following Google Drive and Dropbox.
Quietly, Microsoft has removed the unlimited option from the list of OneDrive cloud storage plans. On this noticed Tech Radar portal editor. The change happened back in July, but they noticed it only now.
The OneDrive for Business Plan 2 option was previously available to large organizations that needed access to a huge amount of files. Its use required the connection of at least five participants, the subscription for each came out at about $ 10 per month. But in July, this option disappeared from the site: now only the OneDrive for Business (Plan 1) plan is available to customers, which gives each user 1 TB of memory, but the limit can be increased to 5 TB per person with a sufficient number of connected users.
A Microsoft spokesperson told Tech Radar that the decision was made "in response to a request from users to make it easier to choose plans." He also confirmed that for existing users of the tariff, nothing will change for now and they will be able to renew their subscription as usual.
Formerly unlimited option lost and corporate Dropbox Advanced. Dropbox representatives attributed this to the growing number of storage use cases in scenarios provided by the service - for example, for mining cryptocurrencies or reselling space to others users.
