In a special application, you can continue to play with shades, achieving perfection.
American startup Colorpik introduced Colorpik Pen, which can reproduce 16 million colors by scanning them from the user's environment. The device is equipped with an RGB color sensor and four refillable ink cartridges with several base colors.
Using it is as simple as possible: you just need to bring the marker to the desired color and press the button on the case. After that, the built-in pump will mix the ink and reproduce the desired shade. You can scan anything - a flower petal, a car, a jacket, and so on.
The Colorpik comes with six interchangeable nibs (ballpoint, marker, brush, pen, round and needle). The kit also includes a pen cap that can be used as a stylus.
In addition, the felt-tip pen can communicate with a smartphone via a mobile application for iOS and Android. In it, you can adjust the resulting shade and bring it to perfection. There are ways to transfer information to a tablet with a computer via Bluetooth and USB.
The manufacturer claims that a full “tank” of the Colorpik lithium battery with a capacity of 280 mAh is enough for about 15 hours of use. And one cartridge allows you to draw a line with a length of 24 kilometers.
Prices and Availability
Colorpik Pen already appeared on Kickstarter for $149. For this money, the buyer will receive the felt-tip pen itself, four tips, a color chart, a charging cable and three sets of ink cartridges.
On the shelves, the device will be sold much more expensive - for $ 298. However, the date of the start of retail sales has not yet been announced.
