Miscellaneous / / August 24, 2023
New version of Google Chrome for iOS allows move the address bar to the bottom of the screen. In the standard Safari browser, this option is selected by default starting with iOS 15.
To change the location of the panel, just copy the link chrome://flags/#bottom-omnibox-steady-state, paste it into the search bar and click "Go". In the window that opens, change the Bottom Omnibox (Steady) option to Enabled and restart the application. The line should move down. If you want to return the search to the top, change the value of Bottom Omnibox (Steady) to Disabled and restart the browser again.
A public release date for this feature has yet to be announced. It is also unknown whether the search bar will be moved down in the Android version of the browser. Google already tried to do this in 2017, but soon returned everything as it was.
