Miscellaneous / / August 23, 2023
The service allows you to run thousands of games directly on Smart TV without connecting to a console or PC.
Last July, Samsung introduced new "Gaming Hub" feature for their 2022 Smart TVs. Six months later, they added support for 2021 models, and now the turn has come to Smart TV 2020. About it announced at the Gamescom 2023 presentation: "Gaming Hub" will appear on these models before the end of 2023.
The Game Hub is powered by the Tizen system and provides access to cloud streaming apps like Xbox, GeForce NOW, Utomik, Anstream Arcade, Blacknut Cloud Gaming, and Amazon Luna. This allows you to run more than 3 thousand games directly on your TV without connecting to a PC or console.
The service also uses AI to increase the resolution of games so they look better on 4K and 8K TVs. In addition to streaming games, this hub gives you quick access to Twitch, YouTube and Spotify.
Exact release dates are not disclosed. When the feature becomes available, compatible TVs will receive it with a system update. In addition to Smart TV, the service is also available on some models of the manufacturer's smart monitors.
