Uniqlo finally left Russia

Appeared in February information about the complete withdrawal of Uniqlo from Russia was confirmed - the Japanese retail chain refused the premises rented for shops. About it write "Vedomosti".

Sources of the publication specify that Uniqlo terminated all rental contracts, taking into account penalties and fired all store staff. The company paid 11 salaries to former employees, and transferred Japanese managers to other countries.

Earlier it was reported that Uniqlo will close most of the stores, but still leave five outlets. This information has not been confirmed. The premises previously rented by the company are already occupied by other retailers. Thus, the areas in the Moscow Atrium and Europolis shopping centers were occupied by Lime stores, in Afimall City, Evropeisky, Fort Otradnoye and in the building on Novy Arbat housed Gloria Jeans, and instead of Uniqlo boutiques in Aviapark and Mega in Khimki and Teply Stan, Just Clothes outlets were opened.
