The fifth season of the series will be "a hell of a spectacle" and will surpass everything that has come before.
Filming for the final season of Stranger Things is still delayed due to the strikes in Hollywood, but David Harbor, who plays Jim Hopper, has confirmed that he has already seen the finished script. He spoke about this on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. writes Variety.
Harbor said that while he hasn't read the ending itself yet, he generally knows how the story will end. He called the finale very touching and incredibly big, praising showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer for a job well done.
They are amazing as usual. They continue to outdo themselves, these striking screenwriters called the Duffer Brothers. It will be a hell of a sight. The sets and some of the things in the script that we've seen are superior to anything we've done in the past.

In addition, Harbor noted that the 5th season will begin immediately after final 4th, which ended with Max (Sadie Sink) falling into a coma and the "Upside Down" beginning to seep into Hawkins.
The timing of the release of the final season is still very vague, since it has not even begun filming. Initially, it was planned to be released in 2024, but due to the strikes of writers and actors, the release date will most likely be shifted.
