The AR display allows you to follow the tempo and switch music without being distracted from the exercises.
Australian startup Minimis developed smart glasses for runners and cyclists that will eliminate the need to take a fitness tracker or smartphone to workout.
A new product called Minimis Glass does not require connection to another device thanks to eSIM support. The gadget weighing only 90 grams is able to provide information about the current workout and help with real-time navigation. And you can also connect wireless headphones to it and listen to music through Spotify.
It uses a pair of 1080p OLED screens with a brightness of 500 nits and a quad-core Qualcomm processor, complemented by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. The system uses a custom version of Android. The interface is adapted to the needs of athletes: it only occupies the upper third of the screen so as not to distract attention from the surroundings.
The glasses were designed with cyclists in mind: the creators claim to have used a unique anti-fog technology, so that the user maintains a view even at high humidity, and they will not slip off the nose even at high humidity (including from sweat). The glasses can also be synchronized with the Garmin Varia radar, which works both as a headlight and a warning system for cyclists about approaching cars.
Inside, a pair of batteries with a capacity of 650 mAh each is used. They provide 7 hours of battery life in continuous use and about 11 hours with occasional display off.
Minimis Glass was valued at 699 Australian dollars (≈43,900 rubles). This is the pre-order price for official website with a 36% discount, also comes with a charging case as a gift. By the start of sales on August 29, they promise to raise the price.
