Gmail for Android has a built-in translator
Miscellaneous / / August 09, 2023
Google announced about adding a native translator to the Gmail mobile app. In the web version, this feature appeared earlier.
Everything works simply: if you receive an email in a language different from the standard one in your Google account, a button will appear asking you to translate the text into your default language. If you select "Translate", the system will offer to translate this language automatically in the future.
The translation offer can be closed, after which the option "Never translate (this language)" will appear. You can not select it if the translation is still required from time to time.
The native translator in Gmail is already distributed in the Android app. On iOS, the release of the feature is expected on August 21, the full distribution may take a few more weeks. Translation of letters will be available to all users of Google Workspace and regular personal accounts.
