Xiaomi introduced a portable smart display. It works 15 hours without recharging

Xiaomi announced new gadget for the Chinese market: Smart Home Screen Pro 8. This is the company's first battery-powered smart display; other models require a permanent connection to the mains.

In fact, this is a tablet on a stand that can work as a digital photo frame and a smart home hub. The tilt of the stand can be adjusted from 90° to 120°.

The gadget can be used to view videos and recipes, set up smart home devices and even make video calls: there are stereo speakers and a 2 MP front camera. The XiaoAI assistant is responsible for voice control (only works in Chinese).

Due to the large 7500 mAh battery, the device provides up to 15 hours of continuous video playback (at 50% brightness and volume). For recharging, a regular USB-C is used.

Xiaomi Smart Home Screen Pro 8 was priced at 749 yuan (≈10,000 rubles). The start of sales in China is expected on August 14, the release of the global version has not yet been announced.
