Mail.ru Post launched a service for transferring letters from Gmail

Mail.ru Post introduced a service for quickly moving from Gmail to a new @xmail.ru domain while keeping the old login. So, [email protected] will turn into [email protected].

The transfer will allow you to keep letters and attachments from the old account. When creating new letters, the user will be able to choose from which address to send them: gmail.com or xmail.ru.

Fast moving is only available for Gmail accounts with access enabled in third-party email clients. There are also a few restrictions on the name: it cannot start or end with a dot, and it cannot include the words admin, support, corp, and support.

It is noted that mail with the xmail.ru domain can only be received when transferred from Gmail. When registering a new account, standard options are offered: mail.ru, bk.ru, inbox.ru, list.ru and internet.ru.

Recall that on December 1, 2023, in force enters a law prohibiting registration on domestic sites using foreign e-mail.
