How to change the wallpaper on the login screen in OS X Mavericks

As you know, Apple's operating system is not as strong in the possibilities of interface customization. For Windows, there are many third party tools to change the appearance (and even functionality) interface, but for OS X such utilities are very few. Well, in the absence of special software we try to do a little "protyuningovat" system. In this article I will discuss how to change the background image of the login screen.
Of course, all that will be described below, you do at your own risk. But, believe me, if you carefully follow all the steps, then you will succeed. You can create a backup using Time Machine (to be safe), but the basic files we still have time to save that in case of problems to return to their seats.
1. To begin, we need a picture that we want to use as a screensaver. Its resolution should be the same as on your monitor or higher. The format of the file to be sure .PNG. If your image is in another format, just open it in a standard viewer, select the "File - Export ..." and enter the extension .PNG.
2. Next, we need to make four copies of the image that you want to replace on the lock screen. Note that they must be just four, and the file names are:
- apple.png
- [email protected]
- [email protected]
- apple_s1.png
3. Now, let's think about backup and store the original files. To do this, create a new folder in a convenient place for you - the files in it and will be backups.
4. In this step, we need to open the directory containing the files that will be replaced (and a backup, respectively). Go to the correct directory, we can in two steps: Open the Finder and press the key combination "Cmd + Shift + G" and in the window that appears, type the following path (without quotes):
"/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/LoginUIKit.framework/"
We get into the directory folders, as in the screenshot below.
Now, once again push the combination "Cmd + Shift + G" (of course, without the quotes) and enter the following path:"Versions / A / Frameworks / LoginUICore.framework / Resources /"
We find ourselves in a directory, where you can see the files with the same names that we have created in the first paragraph. Copy them, just in case a folder for backup of paragraph 3.
5. Last step: we need to replace the system files (copy them, we just made) to the created. We take all four and it is copied to a folder with the replacement.
6. Done! System files are successfully replaced. It's time to check if our trick works. To do this, you need to turn on the lock screen. In the top menu, click on the account name and select "Login Window ...". The screen will be locked, but instead of gray, the standard screen will be our new and beautiful as the pictures in the article title.
If at any point you change your mind or you get tired of a new background, you will just replace the files from the backup you created earlier on.
