Shortwave email manager, spiritual successor to Google Inbox, released on Android
Miscellaneous / / August 04, 2023
With automatic folder sorting, delayed sending and more.
After Google closed Inbox in 2019, which served as the official alternative to Gmail for many years, Shortwave was developed by former employees of the company. In fact, this is an analogue of Google Inbox, which has retained all the main functions - and is now available not only on the web and on iOS, but also on Android.
In particular, the service supports delayed sending of emails, automatically groups incoming mail, and offers automated replies based on AI. The release version also supports multiple accounts and offers more flexible notification settings. The application also supports the ability to configure gestures for quick archiving, deleting or pinning letters.
The free version has limitations: for example, the search only works on emails from the last 90 days. To unlock all the features you will have to pay a subscription - it costs $ 9 per month. The subscription also guarantees a technical support response within one business day.
The app is currently available for download on Google Play, the App Store, and as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for Chromium-based browsers (excluding Firefox).
