An enthusiast built a gaming PC that runs on nitromethane

The case when you can’t play Fortnite without an ignition key.
Youtuber Basically Homeless who a year ago collected a gaming PC in a toilet bowl (while keeping both of them working), decided on a new ridiculous project. This time, the target is a fuel-powered gaming PC. For what? So that the computer is controlled by a pedal, and you can disown the game with friends with the phrase “sorry, I can’t find the ignition key.”
It all started with the assembly of the computer itself - the easiest part. The blogger used an ASRock X670E Steel Legend motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card, 64GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and a 2TB SSD.
Further, this beauty had to be energized. Energy was supposed to be obtained from a pair of DC motors (DC motors), which, rotating, would generate electricity for the computer. They will be powered by a nitromethane-powered eight-cylinder engine, similar to those used in motorboats and radio-controlled cars.
Everything would be relatively simple if the author added a battery to provide a continuous supply of electricity to the computer. But he considered that the solution was too simple, and decided that there should not be any reserve: the PC should run completely from the engine - because it's cooler (and, as he himself admits, much dumber).
So he used two 24W golf cart DCTs connected in series to voltage regulator and power supply (similar to those used in unmanned vehicles means). Well, where without an eight-cylinder internal combustion engine, which will set the structure in motion.
But not everything was so simple: there was not enough horsepower to provide enough power to run the computer. To be more precise, it took about 4 liters. With. The blogger struggled with the problem for two weeks, until a friend suggested that he replace the spark plugs with glow plugs. Note the moment of launch:
It was not possible to fully play on such a monster, but the author considered it a victory that the system was launched.
