Convenient tips, display of trend queries and more.
Chrome Developers told about the appearance in the mobile version of the browser of several new features that will help you quickly find what you are looking for. There are four upgrades in total.
1. Hints for next search
When you open a site in Chrome on iOS or Android and click on the address bar, you'll see relevant search suggestions. For example, you are reading an article about Japan when you are planning an upcoming trip. Clicking on search will display a new section labeled "Related to this page" with suggestions for other search terms such as local restaurants or tourist attractions.
2. trend publications
In Chrome on Android, you can now see popular Google searches right in the address bar. Just open a new tab, tap search and scroll down to see what's trending. Chrome on iOS will have this feature later this year.
3. Search for similar queries
A few years ago, Chrome on Android introduced a quick search for a selected word or phrase (Touch to Search). Now this feature will allow you to see similar search queries. For example, you are reading an article and stumble upon a topic that you want to learn more about. Using Touch to Search, you can see a list of related search terms to get more useful information faster.
4. More search suggestions
Now when you start typing in the Chrome address bar on your phone, you'll see 10 instead of 6 suggestions in the suggestion dropdown. The most suitable ones will be displayed first. This improvement was already available on Android and will now be available on iOS.
The Chrome update with new features is rolled out gradually and will be available to all users in the coming days.
