On a Windows PC or ChromeBook, you can also send a folder from your phone.
Nearby Share, Google's analogue of AirDrop, has received a new useful feature. Now this technology allows you to transfer not only individual files, but also a whole folder while maintaining the original structure. On this drew the attention of Android enthusiast Mishaal Rahman, who previously found quite a few non-obvious features in stable Android and beta versions.
This option is already available in the stock Files app on Android. The way it works is simple: long-press the icon of the folder you want to share and select the Nearby Share icon in the top right corner. Select a recipient and wait for the transfer to complete.
You can send a folder this way to an Android smartphone or tablet, as well as computers on Windows and ChromeOS.
It is important to note that for now we are talking only about the application "Files» from Google. In analogues of the program from Samsung and other developers, the function is not available - and it is not clear whether it will appear in the future.
