According to a reputable insider known as ShrimpApplePro, the 7th generation iPad mini is already in development and could be released towards the end of the year. About it writes Macrumors.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously reported that an update to the compact tablet this year with a "slight performance upgrade" is not out of the question. But Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that mass production of the iPad mini 7 is likely to begin only in the first quarter of 2024.
As with the base 11th generation iPad, the mini model is worth waiting for a processor upgrade. Actual variant currently offers the A15 Bionic chip. And the novelty, most likely, will receive one of the processors of the upcoming iPhone - this is the A16 Bionic or A17 Bionic.
Expected changes to the specs also include upgrades to the front and rear cameras, which could see features like the Photonic Engine appear on the iPad for the first time. And of course, support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 can be added.
