A Reddit user decided to find out what world-famous structures would look like if they were built in the USSR. It turned out quite boldly and brutally - catchy modernist forms mixed with elements of Gothic architecture and Soviet constructivism. Here are 10 examples.
1. Statue of Liberty - empty-handed.
2. The Eiffel Tower - as if sprouted through a large building.
3. Notre Dame Cathedral - without stained glass windows and with sharp forms.
4. Leaning Tower of Pisa - the slope is preserved, but it looks reliable.
5. The Colosseum is like an arena in the middle of panels.
6. Big Ben - Stalin's empire style and recognizable clocks.
7. The Space Needle is a famous futuristic tower in Seattle. Here it looks more like a control tower.
8. The Egyptian pyramid is not in Giza, but somewhere near Moscow.
9. Taj Mahal - the minarets on the sides have disappeared, but in general the palace is easy to recognize.
10. White House - from the house there was a house, more like a recreation center in a small town.
