Greta Gerwig commented on the possible release of "Barbie 2"

During interview for The New York Times director "BarbieGreta Gerwig was asked if the film would be the start of a franchise, or if it was a complete story. Here is what she replied:

In the same interview, Greta noted that she had never divided cinema into children's and adults. Her parents had shown her all sorts of movies since childhood, and in her own way she liked to see what she did not yet fully understand, because it opened a window to the world in which she was just beginning get used to. This explains why the film about a child's toy attracted not only top-notch actors, but also many adult viewers.
