Smart ring Samsung Galaxy Ring will be able to compete with the Galaxy Watch in health tracking

The ring will be able to collect more accurate data, but it will not completely replace the watch.
According to the new report Korean business publication The Elec, Samsung has begun developing prototypes of its smart ring in preparation for mass production. The Japanese Meiko is engaged in the creation of flexible circuit boards for the prototype. Previously, such a device has appeared in a patent application that revealed the alleged names - Galaxy Ring or Galaxy Circle.
Details about this device earlier shared another Korean edition is Naver. It collected data from several Samsung patents for devices such as smart rings. According to these data, the ring can be equipped with a heart rate and blood pressure sensor, which can detect irregular heart rhythms.
The Elec notes that health information from the Galaxy Ring will be more accurate than that of the Galaxy Watch, but this obviously has yet to be confirmed in practice. Theoretically, this makes no sense. Rings are usually fitted exactly to the size of your finger, so that during daily activities they move less than a watch band, which can move during sleep or sports. But this is on condition that the Galaxy Ring will have a wide dimensional grid so that everyone can choose the optimal ring for themselves.
In addition to health tracking, the Galaxy Ring will also be able to “control appliances, including laptops, smartphones and TVs,” presumably using gestures. One of the patents also describes the sharing of a ring to interact with virtual reality while wearing smart glasses - also in development by Samsung.
Samsung watches and rings will not be interchangeable. The Galaxy Watch 6 will reportedly be able to track heart rate, oxygen levels in the blood, skin temperature, body composition (ratio of fat, bone, water and muscle), as well as record an ECG. The information currently available suggests that the Galaxy Ring may not be able to track all of these parameters.
It will be interesting to see how users choose between the two gadgets when the Galaxy Ring comes out. Do you think they will be used together, or choose one according to the situation?
