Google announced about the official launch of the Nearby Share app for Windows PC. It has been available in beta since March of this year.
Nearby Share makes it easy to share files between your phones, tablets, laptops and other devices. How does it work with Windows? told in a separate article.
Google notes that more than 1.7 million people installed the beta during testing, transferring more than 50 million files between PCs and Android devices.
With today's official launch, Google is adding a couple of improvements to the app:
Neighborhood Sharing requires a computer with 64-bit version of Windows 10 or Windows 11, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules to work correctly.
