From "Mad Max" to "Fast and the Furious": Variety named the 50 best action films in history

Edition Variety published top 50 action movies of all time. In the first place, the editors placed the film "Mad Max - 2: Road Warrior" with Mel Gibson in the title role. Silver went to the dynamic "Die Hard" with Bruce Willis. The top three was closed by Alfred Hitchcock's painting "North by Northwest".

The top also includes such cult films as Raiders of the Lost Ark (4), The Matrix (7), Aliens (8), Kill Bill (13), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (17), Gladiator (23), Commandos (32), Run Lola Run (33), Casino Royale (36) and Rambo: First Blood - 2" (45).

Modern hits also made it into the rankings - Mad Max: Fury Road (28), Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (30), Fast and Furious 5 (34), Inception (38), Top Gun: Maverick » (49).
